Branding is a process of creating a gut feeling or the act of giving a business an identity or an outlook to be perceived by others. The history of branding began with the Egyptians in the early 2700 B.C. The Egyptians brand their livestock as a sense of ownership using a custom branding iron cast, it is also used to deter thieves from stealing and to differentiate their live stocks from a different herd.

A brand is great when it is targeted to the right audience.
Brings value to your audience.
Know its competitors.
How well it communicates.
How well it positions itself with its competitors.
How trusting it is.
Good branding = Good perception = Favourable action
Having a strong and good brand improves your customer's trustworthiness. As you build your credibility, it increases their recognition of your brand which leads to more word of mouth which also means free advertising.
